The Apostate

In the Artscroll Chumash commentary, in Parshah Bo, it says an "alienated person" may not partake of the Passover (Seder). An alienated person is then defined as someone who is not Jewish, or an "apostate".

An apostate is defined as someone who: worships idols, desecrates the Sabbath, or denies the validity of any of the Torah's commandments.

This reminded me of something Rabbi Paul said in his second letter to Thessalonica. In reassuring those of the Way that the Mashiach would not come until several things happened first, he wrote that there was to be a "falling away". The Greek word here transliterated is apostasy. With a Jewish filter, we see that the apostasy of the Last Days will include: the worshipping of idols, the desecration of the Sabbath, and the denial of the validity of Torah commandments!

  1. It is the geir who should not take part of the Pesakh-sacrifice on the Seder of “Passover”. A geir is a non-Jewish proselyte, certainly not an apostate.

“.. include: the worshipping of idols, the desecration of the Sabbath, and the denial of the validity of Torah commandments”
I agree that to not do those things are apostasy.

Keeping the directives of the “books of Moses” is of utmost importance.
A directive neglected by many persons is this:

The requirement of a person who believed Ribi Yehoshua [1] was the Messiah and wanted to follow his teachings, was that that person should practise a list directives in “the books of Moses”, then come before the beit-din ha-Netzarim [2] and acknowledge that he would do the sincerest of his/her heart the rest of his/her life to keep the directives in the “books of Moses” non-selectively. Read more in the “Benei Noakh”-section in www.netzarim.co.il (the only legitimate Netzairm-website).

The Netzarim-website proves that in order to follow Ribi Yehoshua one needs to become one of his Netzarim-apprentice students. The apprentice-students of Ribi Yehoshua have always been subordinated to a beit din ha-Netzarim (and the leader of the beit-din ha-Netzarim is now Paqid Yirmeyahu Ben-Dawid in Ra’anana in Israel).

    1. A Jewish Pharisaic leader. He was called Ribi by his apprentice-students and also by his opponents.

    2. Jewish Court consisting of at least three (in some special circumstances only one or two) Jewish men. Beit-din ha-Netzarim consisted of persons belonging to the Netzarim – the followers of Ribi Yehoshua.

  2. No one today takes part in (eats) the pesach sacrifice. Neither Jew or Gentile, therefore anyone can sit at the memorial seder. Why is this? There is no Temple to bring the sacrifice to and no kohen to examine the sacrifice to see it meets the requirements of Torah. Those who eat lamb at the memorial are just eating lamb, not a biblical sacrifice and since Yeshua is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, I prefer not to eat lamb but "do this in remembrance of me".
